My Name is Kristin Appiah and I teach second grade at Fernwood. I have been teaching for 16 years and I enjoy my work! I was born and raised in Chicago and love touring the city. Some of my hobbies include crafting and photography. If you ever want to get me a gift peanut butter truffles are my favorite candies!
I created this site for my students because I wanted to have a way to communicate with my students outside of the classroom. We are living in the 21st Century and I want to make sure my students have the skills needed to thrive in society today. This wiki site will contain lessons, class updates, student discussions, assignments and much more. You can also follow our Journey North Project here. We are studying the migration of the Monarch Butterfly. We have been tracking them since February (check out our Journey North Page).
